75 More Units of Affordable Rental Housing in Vaughan

Vaughan, ON - More families, individuals and seniors living in Vaughan will soon have a place to call home at Woodbridge Lane. The federal and provincial governments are investing over $11 million to create 75 affordable housing units through the Canada-Ontario Investment in Affordable Housing (IAH) agreement.

Member of Parliament for Vaughan-Woodbridge, Francesco Sorbara, on behalf of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), along with Member of Provincial Parliament for Vaughan, Steven Del Duca, on behalf of the Honourable Peter Milczyn, Ontario’s Minister of Housing and Minister Responsible for the Poverty Reduction Strategy, made the announcement today. York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson also participated in the event.

Woodbridge Lane will feature 162 units for families, individuals and seniors, including 75 units funded by the IAH program. Highlights include indoor and outdoor play spaces for children, a rooftop garden and accessible units for people with disabilities.
